Breaking Through the 3,000-Employee Barrier
In January 2020, Vector welcomed our 3,000th employee. Much more than just a number, this represents 3,000 engaged personalities on hundreds of teams at 30 sites in 13 countries. Growth and Vector are like two peas in a pod. Whether it’s employees, sales, products or coffee bean consumption, you can bet it’s growing year over year.
Let’s take a look back, though:
Although the three founders (who are all still active on the non-profit Vector Foundation) wanted to end the first year of business without bringing anyone new on board, the first employee already joined the company in 1988 – and he’s still at Vector to this day.
If you drive by our large development centers in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe or Regensburg, you’d be hard pressed to miss cranes and busy construction workers. In the future, even more employees will be making the technologies of tomorrow ready for serial production. Ingenuity and enjoying what we do are what fuel us.
