Dual Study Program: Combining Theory and Practice With Vector

Would you like to combine your studies with more hands-on experience? Vector offers you the dual integrated study program in Regensburg, and the study program with in-depth practical units in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. Combine your training or Bachelor’s degree with exciting practical assignments at Vector throughout your studies. We help you to grow both as a professional and as an individual, and provide you with financial assistance throughout the entire program.

Dual Integrated Study Program

The dual integrated study program at our Regensburg site offers a combination of practical training to become an Application Development Specialist (m/f/nb) (CCI certification) and a Bachelor’s degree from Regensburg University of Applied Sciences (OTH).

Training and Degree in One

During an integrated study program, you’ll spend your entire first year of training with us in the company. You’ll be part of our team of trainees and learn extensive programming skills. Starting in the second year, you will alternate between the Bachelor’s degree program at OTH and the practical phases at Vector. Your CCI final examination will take place in the fourth year of training. Afterwards, you will then concentrate on your practical semester and thesis. The standard period of study for this model is 4.5 years.

Study Program with In-Depth Practical Units

The study program with in-depth practical units offers a combination of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and exciting practical assignments at Vector. This study model covers the entire standard period of study (i.e. 3.5 years).

Well-Organized from Day One

During your practical phases (semester breaks, practical semester, and Bachelor’s thesis), you’ll gain valuable practical experience at our sites in Stuttgart or Karlsruhe. This allows you to start your studies feeling well-organized, without any need to worry about part-time jobs, student employee positions, or finding a company for your Bachelor’s thesis. You will also receive monthly compensation during both your time at university and during the practical phases. This allows you to concentrate completely on your studies.

Which Universities Can You Attend?

This is possible in the Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or in a similar degree program at the following universities:

FAQs

What can you expect during your practical phases?

You’ll spend your practical assignments in a designated department, where you’ll gain a wide range of insights into a huge variety of topics. Your personal mentor will always be by your side and, of course, we consistently focus on your personal and professional further development. How do we achieve this? More information will be available here soon.

What do we require from you?

In addition to a specialized or general higher education entrance qualification, you should have an interest in software and hardware development and a strong desire to acquire practical experience during your studies. We’d appreciate it if you could explain in your cover letter why you’re interested in the study program with in-depth practical units and why you would like to study at your chosen university.

What can you expect from Vector?

Look forward to a customized training plan with a contact person responsible for you, regular exchange sessions, and an introductory training event.
