Honorary Senatorship for the founders of Vector Eberhard Hinderer, Martin Litschel and Dr. Helmut Schelling

The University of Stuttgart has three new honorary senators: Eberhard Hinderer, Martin Litschel and Dr. Helmut Schelling, founders of Vector Informatik GmbH and benefactors and members of the board of trustees of the Vector Foundation. At the ceremonial awarding on July 25, 2022, Rector Prof. Wolfram Ressel recognized their idealistic and material support of the University of Stuttgart, their many years of personal commitment and their exemplary achievements.

Ressel justified the decision to award the honorary senatorship in his speech: "Eberhard Hinderer, Martin Litschel and Dr. Helmut Schelling have always remained closely connected to alumni of the University of Stuttgart and their alma mater. As founders and managing directors of the innovative company Vector Informatik GmbH and now as benefactors and trustees of the Vector Foundation, they have done exemplary work over many years. They hold the members of the University of Stuttgart, its research achievements, activities and projects in very high esteem. Their continuous successful efforts for a cooperative collaboration between science and practice are exemplary. With their appointment as honorary senators, the University of Stuttgart honors the achievements of these three dedicated men and shows its gratitude for their outstanding identification with our university."
