Long Live Sport – Even, and Especially, in the Age of the Coronavirus

Has communal sport been difficult to organize in the age of the coronavirus? Has it been a bit of a challenge to include health and exercise in the working day?

Not at Vector! We have a wide range of options for action and relaxation even in the home office – whatever you are looking for. Usually employees go to the vMove health center. At the moment, the trainers are visiting employees at home, albeit only digitally.

Advice session

For example, there is the option of a one-to-one advice session in which questions about ergonomics in the home office can be answered or fitness exercises for the home drawn up. We are also pleased to offer 30-minute exercise sessions with a colleague via video conferencing and provide individual exercises through an app. In the acute surgery, our sports therapists give advice on problems with mobility. Tips are given here on how special exercises can help and which specialist is the best for a particular condition.

Virtual participation in an exercise break

Exercise break

To ensure that no one forgets their exercise break, we offer a short exercise break of 15 minutes for everyone at their desk. The short mobility session consists of simple exercises for the neck and shoulder area which extend to the whole body.

Virtual participation in a yoga class

Yoga

Or what about yoga? Beginners and advanced practitioners can top up on energy before work begins and start the day in a relaxed frame of mind. Yoga strikes a balance between tension and relaxation and helps achieve a new awareness of the body and greater inner calmness.

Virtual participation in a zumba class

Zumba

Zumba is also good exercise and feels like a dance fitness party. If you are easily carried away by Latin-American and other international rhythms, you will know why Zumba@Fitness is often not even considered to be exercise.

Mobility training

Especially if you work in one body position, such as daily desk work over several hours, it is important to find a counterbalance for joints, tendons and muscles so that you keep mobile. Mobility training takes care of this with stretching exercises, stabilizing strengthening exercises, and active mobilization exercises. The aim is to maintain and improve the mobility of the whole body.

Rückenfit (Back Fit)

Rückenfit focuses on balancing exercises for the entire back. All sections of the spine are moved, strengthened and stretched.

Conclusion

So, as you can see, it’s quite difficult to find an excuse when all of these online options are just a mouse-click away ;-)
This wide variety of virtual health and fitness opportunities is also used very heavily.
