Our first company-owned building in Karlsruhe

With an inviting working atmosphere, a green facade on all sides and a roller slide staircase in the atrium, Vector’s employees have plenty to look forward to at our first company-owned building in the immediate vicinity of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. We’ve made space for 600 creative minds. At the Karlsruhe Technology Park, we work on almost the entire product range that Vector has to offer - from embedded software and engineering tools to cloud services.

If you are a member of our Karlsruhe team, you will now enjoy working in a 178-meter-long new building that extends over six floors. From the outside, you surely can’t miss the building’s green facade: The overhanging plant troughs on each floor certainly capture everyone’s attention and The building includes a parking garage with 220 parking spaces, where not only can you park your vehicle, but even charge it, if you happen to have an electric car. Cyclists have access to bike parking spaces in the basement – and there are also showers and lockers available. In the first floor you will find a multi-functional event area, the company restaurant and a barista bar. For your lunch break, you can roll to our award-winning company restaurant ‘CANtine’: slide down the five long self-supporting roller slides from any floor down to the first floor.

“We always shape our buildings in such a way that it’s not just about creating workspaces, but also places for networking, creativity and well-being,” explains Sebastian Gaiser, Head of Facility Engineering at Vector. “We deliberately didn’t plan every square meter in advance so that Vector employees can arrange the various spaces to suit their needs.”

We build with environmental awareness. As part of our sustainable construction methods, we aim to achieve the prestigious Platinum and Diamond certificates from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). In this way, we make a further contribution to our goal of keeping our CO2 footprint as minimal as possible.
