Regeneratively Produced Power Reaches New Heights
Use natural resources and protect the environment - that’s important to us. Renewable energies play a key role here. Our photovoltaic plants in Stuttgart, Regensburg and on the new site in Karlsruhe are an important step towards reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. The plant on the carpark in Stuttgart is even among the 20 largest photovoltaic plants in Stuttgart with 212 kWp.
In 2023, our photovoltaic plants produced 430,000 kWh of green energy, which is mainly used in our own buildings and to charge electric vehicles. The rest of the electricity demand is covered by purchasing green energy. But that’s not all: The commissioning of more plants in 2024 means that soon even more sunlight will be turned into energy. For those who like numbers: The installed output will then increase from 458 kWp to 819 kWp.
By continuously increasing regeneratively produced energy, together with geothermal energy and solar energy; constructing buildings sustainably; carefully selecting building materials, as well as taking measures to improve biodiversity, we are continuing to pursue one of our goals: To protect the environment.
