The Summer (Festival) Is Finally Here!
After experiencing quite the hindrance due to the coronavirus in previous years, we at Vector once again had a true After-Work-Party celebration last summer. Even if the mid-May weather still seemed spring-like, Vectorians and their families alike were delighted by the Summer Festival in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf. Here at Vector, a “family-like atmosphere” is more than just a cliché. Vector employees, their partners and many children made for a jam-packed campus – 4,000 children and adults came together to experience moments together, hold discussions, and have a wonderful day.

Inspiration was provided by the four elements, where children and adults alike were able to discover, experience, and gastronomically enjoy the elements of earth, water, fire and air in a variety of surprising ways.
Individually listing all the attractions would go beyond the scope of a news story. Here are some of what were without a doubt some highlights:
- YouTuber Jacob Beautemps gave insights into the most promising technologies of the future and about the art of conveying knowledge using simple tricks.
- Visitors to the Experinauts workshop will find that the sky is the limit when it comes to creativity! This is a place where everyone can live out their passion for scienceand handicraft.
- Cunning and brave folks reached for the sky as they ascended the 8-meter (26 ft.) climbing tower.
- Anyone who has always dreamed of driving an excavator was able to drive one themselves and dig to their heart’s content. Five excavators brought wide-eyes smiles to a few people and, by the way,
- a lot of people showed up at the workshops as well: Baristas, meditation, grills, mocktails (alcohol-free cocktails), beeswax wraps, VR experience, pottery, dancing, DJ...

As is always the case with Vector, there was food to be had. From vegan, 3D-printed “Redefined Pulled Beef” to delicious grilled food or Italian delicacies and even cakes and desserts, we had something for every taste.
To spare employees from Munich and Regensburg a long trip and to make sure that the focus is ultimately on celebration, the Summer Festival will once again take place at Regensburg on July 15.
