Support for 36 New Deutschlandstipendium and Vector Scholarship-Holders
Twice a year, our scholarship program comes into life. In fall and now in spring, many students receive a Deutschlandstipendium (German scholarship) or are included in the Vector scholarship program.
We are delighted to welcome:
-
20 Deutschlandstipendium-holders at Stuttgart University, Tübingen University and the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. They applied to the selection committee of their respective institution.
-
16 Vector scholarship-holders at Karlsruhe, Regensburg, Deggendorf, Esslingen and Mannheim universities, who impressed us in a personal interview.
The scholarships are a way for Vector to support talented young people. They let them concentrate more on their studies, to allow them to reach their full potential. For us this is an investment in the future, both that of the company and of higher education support in society as a whole. We also give the students an insight into the exciting practical side of Vector and, of course, the opportunity to gain initial experience in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe or Regensburg.

Vector is currently supporting over 100 students: 77 with the Deutschlandstipendium and 29 Vector scholarship-holders. Together with the Vector Foundation, which supports 54 MINT teacher-training students as part of the Deutschlandstipendium, Vector is therefore one of the three biggest awarders of that scholarship. That makes us very proud, but even more importantly, numerous committed and gifted students have the best possible conditions in which to achieve their best.

Students of computer science and electronic and information technology are among those who receive financial and pastoral support through the Vector scholarship. This is awarded in cooperation with various colleges and starts with an interview, in which we get to know one another in person. The scholarship-holders are given the support of a mentor for two semesters, are able to take part in numerous Vector training courses and have the opportunity to get to know Vector and the other scholarship-holders at special events.

The Deutschlandstipendium supports talented, capable students. School and college performances are an important factor in assessing the capabilities and talent of the applicants. But the funding criteria also include awards and prizes, previous professional work and internships, work outside school or college, and the overcoming of obstacles in life, such as those arising from an applicant’s background. The application and selection process is intended to take the entire personality of the applicant into consideration.
