Vector Continues To Grow and Create Pioneering, Feel-Good Workstations

We are on a path of continued growth and looking for new employees. That’s why we are building sustainable and high-quality buildings in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Regensburg for the future – a clear commitment to these German locations as well as to employee satisfaction.

As an employer, Vector gives employees considerable freedom, great team spirit, and a high level of flexibility. The high level of appreciation for employees can be experienced best when together on site, even when people are usually working from home. While many companies are taking advantage of the trend towards working from home to scale down expensive office space, Vector is very deliberately taking a different approach. All of Vector’s full- and part-time employees have their own personal and permanent workstation. And that is in effect even though the new rules for mobile working specify that 50 percent of the time can be spent in the office or at a flexible work location.

The following applies to the new offices themselves: a maximum of four to (exceptionally) six persons per room, with a back-friendly, height-adjustable desk, a high-quality office chair, and state-of-the-art PC hardware with two monitors. Large tea and coffee kitchens serve as islands for information and meetings, to encourage creativity, collaboration and communication among employees.

Weilimdorf

Model of the new building in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf

We have been taking into account these appreciative considerations in our construction planning for years. For example, we rented a new office building right next to the Vector Campus in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf and expanded it in accordance with Vector’s architecture guidelines. In December, 1,100 Vector employees from the Embedded Systems department will find high-quality workstations there. The new building is easily reached via the S-Bahn public transport connection immediately nearby. Cyclists can use bicycle parking spaces in the building and showers, including spacious changing facilities, and drivers will be able to park in Vector's own parking garage. Electric vehicle owners will be able to charge their vehicles for free at over 200 charging points on campus. As in the main building on Holderäckerstraße, the company restaurant Traube Tonbach will ensure that employees can enjoy culinary delights. Incidentally, the company restaurant was awarded 1st place in the large canteen test of 2021 by Food & Health e.V., with the highest possible rating of 4.5 stars. Vector employees can therefore dine in one of the best canteens in Germany.

Karlsruhe

Model and construction site of the new building in Karlsruhe

The development site in Karlsruhe will feature a true novelty in 2023: In the technology park there, we are constructing our own building for the first time, which will feature 600 workstations and a 25-meter cantilevered roller slide in the atrium. This goes like a marble run from one floor to the other and ends in the company restaurant. You stand on the inclined plane with small rollers and ride it down, similarly to a parcel or beverage on a conveyor belt. To build the slide we brought in a water slide specialist from Switzerland. This is a real highlight, something that must be experienced, and which will allow you to easily reach and network with your colleagues.

Regensburg

New building of the location in Regensburg

The Vector development site in Regensburg is being expanded as well: The second part of the building will have space for 155 employees and a new company restaurant, including Traube Tonbach’s new concept for culinary enjoyment. Completion is planned for November 2021. In addition, work is already underway on a new building with 230 workstations. There will then be space for almost 600 Vector employees in total.
